Description

Hackney Council's Green Screens Programme is a pioneering project to install 'Green Screens', which are pollution-blocking plant screens, on the perimeters of schools bordering busy roads. Air pollution from these roads puts children at risk, and the screens help to reduce the levels of pollution that enter playgrounds and classrooms. Green screens are typically 3m tall to maximise their impact in blocking air pollution, and create an attractive green wall that can also provide privacy screening.

Hackney Council is appointing a consultancy/designer to assess 25 individual schools for their suitability for a green screen, develop initial designs and present the council with a written document/plan that an installation contractor is able to follow to install the screens.

Didcot Garden Town green infrastructure design including surveys to inform design, preparation of planning applications and drafting specifications for implementation

The aim is to obtain a proposal for the detailed design and specification of four blue-green infrastructure enhancement projects in areas of Didcot identified and analysed in the Green Infrastructure strategy (see Figure 1) through RIBA Stage 2-4. prj_5919 - Thames to Southern Transfer Strategic Resource Option

Southern Water needs to obtain approval to construct a ~85km pipeline plus associated treatment works and other infrastructure, to transfer drinking water from the Thames Water area to Southern Water's network in Hampshire. We are seeking an external partner with multidisciplinary expertise developing and delivering designs for large complex infrastructure schemes including successfully navigating the Development Consent Order (DCO) process, planned for 2030. We anticipate our Technical Partner will be contracted via a single supplier framework, which will provide support to SWS throughout the design phase and examination process. The successful bidder will be required to co-ordinate all works instructed under this proposed framework. The successful bidder will complete the DCO application, including all surveys, environmental studies, "tender ready" outline design and then manage the DCO process to determination. The successful bidder will be Principal Designer for the scheme and Principal Contractor for works which fall under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 ("CDM") during the design phase.
