Description
UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) is part of the UK’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) budget and responds to the critical global need for technical assistance to help developing countries implement their commitments under the Paris Agreement, recommendations from the UK’s Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI)’s 2014 review of the International Climate Fund (ICF), and the Government’s vision for the UK’s global clean growth leadership to inspire others and support increased prosperity for the UK. The ultimate goal of the programme is to reduce poverty by maximising emissions reductions in developing countries in order to promote clean growth and avoid dangerous climate change. UK PACT strengthens relations with partner governments, builds capacity in key partner institutions, and raises the visibility of the UK’s work in this field. To deliver on these goals, the UK PACT programme is split across three components, for each of which a Delivery Partner was procured under a separate Lot. The UK PACT programme (and associated contracts) transferred from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on 1st April 2022. This Contract is Lot 1: Bilateral Country Programming and External Communications with Palladium International Limited and is one of three Lots. Lot 2: Global Challenge Fund was awarded to ICF Consulting Services Limited and Lot 3: skill-shares and secondments was awarded to PA Consulting Services Limited
