Description

Manchester City Council (MCC) have recently defined a Hybrid Cloud strategy focusing on migrating current on-premises application workloads to public cloud hosting services with Microsoft Azure selected as the target cloud provider (along with Citrix Cloud for hosting Citrix application services).

The Council is looking to exploit the benefits public cloud hosting can bring including improved flexibility, reduced infrastructure operating responsibilities, improved disaster recovery, automation and contribution to Zero Carbon Manchester objectives.

To help achieve the aim of public cloud hosting the Council is looking for a Microsoft Gold Partner holding Azure Expert MSP certification to provide cloud design and migration services and a co-managed cloud service for a two-year period (partner status is also required sought in Citrix and Fortinet solutions)

Requests to Participate are welcomed throughout the full duration of this DPS across all lots, however an initial deadline of 12noon 18 November 2024 applies before any Contracting Authority undertakes a further competition. Available for the education sector and all other customers referenced in this contract notice (below).
