Description

The Council currently has 132 Multi-Function Devices (MFD) distributed across 41 buildings, supporting 3000 employees.

This tender is for the replacement of the current service with a fully managed service providing office printing, scanning and copying facilities, primarily to staff but including a public facing and guest option.

The Authority are tendering for the outsourced provision to supply services and goods to their schools in respect of a range of Multi-Functional Devices (MFD's). The provision or paper is not a requirement of is contract and the Trust will source this themselves. The Authority’s Management Information System is currently Bromcom but is currently being tendered for. The operating system is Windows 10/11. PIN codes and cards are sometimes used to enable printing, copying, or scanning and the Authority use Printix Print Management. Printix is managed by the Authority and software is not required to be supported by the successful Bidder.The MFDs, at least, must be compatible with installing Printix and the contract must allow us to do so. The Authority has several machine types currently supplied by a range of suppliers and all with differing lease agreement dates, as per Attachment 1 (subject to updates and changes). Ordnance Survey Ltd (OS) is Britain's mapping agency and is responsible for the surveying, production, maintenance and marketing of a wide range of geographic information, relied on by government, business and individuals. OS is a private limited company (company registration number 09121572), and the entire share capital is owned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. OS also has several wholly owned subsidiaries who may access this contract. The Ordnance Survey Consumer business unit is responsible for all retail products made available via an omni channel approach - direct to end customer and via retail/wholesale trade channels. Product categories include large format sheet mapping, customisable large format mapping (Custom Made), guidebooks and outdoor accessories. OS are seeking a Supplier with the capabilities and capacity to allow for effective Printing, Finishing and Dispatch Services for Ordnance Survey Paper Maps. The supply of the Printing, Finishing and Dispatch Services for Ordnance Survey Paper Maps will be split into two Lots. These are: - Lot 1 - Large Format Printing, Finishing and Dispatch Services for OS Core Series Paper Maps - Lot 3 - Digital Printing, Finishing and Dispatch Services for OS Custom Made Paper Maps and Framed Products Further information of what is included under each Lot can be found below in this notice with full details in the procurement documentation.
