Medway Council wish to procure a new Medway VCS Better Together Consortium service. The contract forms a collaborative working partnership to support and improve life outcomes for Medway residents and a resilient Voluntary Community Sector within Medway.\r

The services are divided into 4 Lots -\r
Lot 1 Infrastructure to support the VCS Organisations in Medway, to support a resilient and thriving VCS.\r
Lot 2 Local Healthwatch Medway, to support the provision of an independent patient voice.\r
Lot 3 Adult and Young Carers Support Services, that supports:\r
-Information, Guidance and Advice for Carers.\r
- A Young Carers support service, that ensures young carers are not undertaking inappropriate caring roles.\r
- Carers Support Payments, which enable both adults and young carers to take respite or to reach their life goals and to live independent healthy lives and avoid a crisis.\r
Lot 4 Children and Adults Visually Impaired (VI) Support and Information Service, which will maintain the VI Registers and supports independent living, rehabilitation, and prevention of age-related eye conditions.\r
The Medway VCS Better Together Consortium key objectives are:\r
- One set of mutually agreed Key Performance Indicators.\r
- A single point of contact to address relevant issues, risks and opportunities.\r
- Strategic outcomes achieved by effective collaborative working relationships.\r
- Maximum use of community resource.\r
- The creation of a mutually agreed collaborative Action Plan.

DHSC: ASC Transitions Training Materials

Background His Majesty’s Government (HMG) works to deliver better life chances for all – breaking the link between background and success. We do this by protecting children and ensuring the delivery of higher standards of education, training and care. The variation and poor quality of the transition from children’s services into ASC is a problem raised in many reports. Improving this transition is important for supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities to get the right support and to live as independently as possible in adulthood. We are seeking to address the cultural and join-up problems by upskilling the social care sector via a set of best practice training materials and guidelines. The guidelines should be overarching principles for good transitions, drawing on existing materials such as NICE guidelines . These materials will improve the transitions capabilities of both children and adult social workers and leaders in the sector. The development of deliverables, and decisions as to their format, must be informed by engagement with those with lived experience of the transition into ASC (this should include young people, young carers, family, unpaid carers, relevant education settings and practitioners working in the sector).

The Drive Project: Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Services

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire, in partnership with the Drive Project, is seeking a qualified Service Provider to deliver a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Intervention Service. The Drive Project is a nationally recognised response to domestic abuse, designed to reduce the number of child and adult victims by disrupting and changing perpetrator behaviour. It adopts a whole-system approach, combining intensive individual case management with a co-ordinated multi-agency response to drive behavioural change. The project prioritises victim safety while complementing existing victim services. It targets high-risk or serial perpetrators, both male and female, aged 16 and over, who present the greatest risk of serious harm and typically engage poorly with existing services. The key objectives are to reduce the number of serial perpetrators of domestic abuse, reduce the number of repeat and new victims, and reduce the harm caused to victims and children. By addressing perpetrator behaviour, Drive tackles the root cause of domestic abuse and improves outcomes for victims and families. The appointed provider will deliver one-to-one case management for perpetrators, support systemic change through multi-agency collaboration, participate in the Perpetrator Panel (e.g., MATAC or similar forum), and work closely with the Drive Partnership, PCC, local authorities, IDVA services, and stakeholders to develop and adapt best practice models. This is a one-stage tender process. The contract falls below the Light Touch Regime threshold and is therefore outside the Procurement Act 2023; compliance with Act provisions is voluntary. The contract will be for an initial 12-month period with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months, subject to funding. Target go-live date is 01 April 2026. The funding envelope for this project is £317,438 per annum (VAT exempt). Award of contract, including any extensions, is subject to receipt of programme funding. GCC013 - Gloucestershire Rough Sleeper Needs Assessment Specification

We have used this UK4 notice for transparency purposes only. The Gloucestershire Housing Partnership (district councils, public health, County Council NHS, Police, Probation, VCSE, and commissioned providers) seek a robust, insight-led assessment that improves outcomes for people who sleep rough. The work will inform local implementation of the national Rough Sleeping Strategy and local Homelessness and Rough Sleeping strategies, and provide a clear evidence base for commissioning over the next 3 years. Critically, this work must not duplicate existing or planned assessments: Supported Housing Needs Assessment, Adult Social Care Needs Assessment, Housing Economic Needs Assessment and Housing Commission work. Instead, it should drill down on the specific experiences, trajectories and needs of people who sleep rough and the effectiveness of the rough sleeping pathway (including outreach, verification, access to health and substance use support, emergency access, assessment hubs, supported moves, Housing First, and move-on).
