Description

The Session Solution contract enables NHSBT to manage the collection of blood donations from greeting donors at a session (fixed or mobile), through to such donations and all associated data. 

An initial contract for Session Solution Managed Service (NHSBT1204) was awarded on 3rd September 2019 with BT following a further competition under the CCS Technology Services 2 Framework (RM3804). The initial contract term was for a three-year period with the option to extend for a further year. The contract term has now been extended for an additional year, with ongoing costs covering provision of a managed service, licences and SIM costs.

A new contract will be tendered/awarded via a competitive exercise to start June 2024.
