PLEASE NOTE THIS NOTICE IS TO ANNOUNCE THE AWARD OF CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A CURRENT CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY. The British Museum is seeking to appoint a mechanical, electrical, public health and fire services engineering consultant (MEPHF engineer) to provide services for the delivery of the South-West Energy Centre (SWEC) project from RIBA Stage 3 onwards. The appointed consultant will also be required to act as Lead Consultant, Lead Designer, Principal Designer, Design Management and Lead Appointed Party.

SDH North Chimneys & Flues Adaptation Works

Background to the requirement: The purpose of this procurement exercise is to appoint a main contractor for works to the hospital’s chimneys funded by NHS Estates Safety Funding 2025/26. The chimneys in question, constructed around 1988, are approximately 38 meters tall from main plant room level and made of mild steel. Externally they are located within an internal courtyard of the hospital (no vehicular access) which is approx. 7.5m above the main plant room level. Refurbishment and Upgrade of Dunnet Head Lighthouse The main items of project work are as listed below:- -Carry out a full Asbestos Refurbishment / Demolition Survey on all NLB operational buildings prior to the commencement of any work. Details will be provided on the basic operation of these items to allow the Contractor to prevent his operatives from affecting the Aids to Navigation.
