Description
As part of its drive to achieve best value, Lancashire County Council is seeking to procure construction works on a partnering basis in accordance with the principles of Sir John Egan's reports Rethinking Construction and Accelerating Change. The Authority has a strategic need for establishing contractual relationships with a partnering ethos. The scope of the Construction Partnering Framework is new build, extensions, adaptations, refurbishment, and reactive emergency works, within the anticipated value ranges outlined within the tender documents. The work will cover the following sectors, with some construction projects incorporating a combination of more than one sectors: • Education (including Community & Sport). • Leisure (Libraries & Museums). • Adult and Children's Social Care. • Civic & Corporate. • Offices. • Landscaping, environmental, external works & playing fields. The work will be carried out in a range of city, urban and rural environments. It is the Authority's intention that this Framework is procured as a collaborative Framework. Call-Offs under the Construction Partnering Framework will also be available to public sector bodies, including Lancashire Constabulary, UCLAN, Diocese to enable a collaborative Framework.
