The works comprise resurfacing and reconstruction of carriageway at two sites in Malton and Norton, and drainage and resurfacing of carriageway and footway in Pickering , see descriptions below.  • U341 Highfield Road/Pasture Lane Malton R&R  o Carriageway pavement reconstruction, reinstatement of traffic calming features, minor kerb/channel replacement, minor footway reconstruction, replacement and level adjustment of service covers/frames and gully grate, and reinstatement of road markings.  • B1248 Scarborough Road Norton R&R  o Carriageway pavement reconstruction, reinstatement of traffic calming features, minor kerb/channel replacement,  replacement and level adjustment of service covers/frames and gully grate/frames , and reinstatement of road markings.

Highways Maintenance Services Contracts 2025

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) (the Council) has a statutory obligation, as a Highway Authority, to maintain the public highway within its boundary and in doing so we require specialist contractors to support us in carrying out these works. We are responsible for over 188km of carriageways, 380km of footways, five bridges including the two Thames crossings and over 12,000 streetlights. This Dynamic Purchasing System is for the provision of the following Road Surface Treatment Services: • Premium Surface Dressing • Micro Asphalting and Footway Surface Treatments • Carriageway Retexturing • Joint Sealing • Asphalt Preservation • In-Situ Road Recycling • Spray Injection Patching The publishing of this Contract Notice is to communicate the renewal of the above DPS which was originally established in March 2018 for a 4 year period. This DPS is now to be renewed for a 4 further year period which will end March 2026.
