MANSFIELD DISTRICT COUNCIL SMART PARKING

Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) is seeking tenders, on behalf of Mansfield District Council (MDC), As a part of its Town Investment Plan, Mansfield District Council (MDC) is investing in several projects to improve Mansfield Town Centre and Mansfield District as a place to live, work and visit. A key objective is to increase foot fall and dwell time in the town centre to improve its economic prosperity. One key project within the portfolio is the upgrading of the existing car parks in the town, towards a modern Smart Parking infrastructure. The vision is to provide Smart Parking infrastructure that is easy to use, is inclusive and uses modern technology. It will be easier and more efficient for MDC to manage. It will be a key tool in increasing use of the town centre for work, shopping, leisure and tourism. Ideally MDC wants to include 13 car parks (2 multi-storey and 11 surface) in the scope of the smart parking project. There is a limited capital budget for this project, if the budget does not cover the installation of the Smart Parking infrastructure in all 13 car parks, the priority is for the two multi-storey car parks to be completed initially. The order of priority after the 2 multi-storey carparks will be based on the capacity of the car parks from high to low. Table 3.1 in this document shows the capacity of all car parks that fall within this project. MDC intends to appoint a turnkey supplier that can design and install all elements of the required solution, and as many of the desired elements detailed later in this document. It is assumed that the project will take less than 8 months from contract commencement date. It is assumed that suppliers tendering for the project will have relevant experience. Suppliers should highlight relevant association and professional memberships such as British Parking Association.
