5454 - Cwmaber Infants School - Boiler Replacement

Bidders are invited to submit a tender for the provision of two new boilers and associated plant in the boiler room at Cwmaber Infants School. The scope of the project is fully described in this ITT and supporting documentation but in summary the scope is: - The contractor shall cost all necessary resources including weekend and overtime working to allow the project to be completed within the specified contract period. - Carefully survey all services in the existing boiler rooms and remove all redundant mechanical and electrical services including any brackets and containment. When removed, the building structure shall be made good. - The contractor shall install and set to work the two new boilers and flues and configure existing controls for the new boilers. All new and existing services within the boiler room are to insulated as specified. - The contractor shall employ the boiler manufacturer’s commissioning engineers to commission the new boilers and certify them. The timescale for the work is 4 weeks from commencement of the contract. It is planned to carry out these works during term time with no loss of service to the school. If any service shut downs are required these shall be arranged out of hours or at the October half term holiday. Contractors shall submit a detailed programme of works when submitting their costs for the project. The Contractors shall detail all key timings showing as a minimum, site setup, plant delivery, re-instatement works and commissioning and how this will be achieved in the 4-week period given.

Heating System Upgrades

Northamptonshire Partnership Homes (NPH) wishes to invite interested parties to bid for heating system upgrades within the properties it manages. The tender is to appoint four (4) contractors to complete approx. fifty (50) property heating system upgrades per contractor. These upgrades must be completed by the end of this financial year, 31st March 2026. If we do not receive enough bids to award to four (4) contractors, we will split the work between less contractors provided we are confident that the works required can be completed in the given timeframe. The anticipated estimated contract start date is 01/12/2025. The contract term will be for a period of just 4 months with no option for extending. Whilst NPH offers no guaranteed value of spend through this contract, the anticipated value over the total possible term per contractor is up to £250,000 excl. VAT. (£300,000 incl. VAT). However, each contractor awarded will be provided with a contract up to the value of £291,667 excl. VAT (£350,000 incl. VAT) to allow for extra works should any contractor fall behind, and capacity is available with others. Each contractor shall be responsible for the completion of the initial property survey, and the careful and safe extraction and replacement of gas and or electrical heating appliances and systems. The installation and repair of gas central heating and hot water systems are to include, but not be limited to, energy efficient condensing boilers, associated electrical and control works, all pipe work, radiators, fittings, lagging and sundry materials. Bidders are required to have the following qualification / accreditations certifications to be eligible to bid for this contract and will be required to provide evidence of such as part of their response. A Gas Safe Registration Certificate All operatives and staff must hold a recognised gas safe qualification, typically through ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme), NVQ / Diploma or alternatives, to be approved by the Customer All operatives must have pre contract training and be a Vaillant registered installer.
