Description
The NHS Long Term Plan describes a: "new community-based offer [that] will include access to psychological therapies, improved physical health care, employment support, personalised and trauma-informed care, medicines management and support for self harm and coexisting substance use... and proactive work to address racial disparities." Local areas will be: "supported to redesign and reorganise core community mental health teams to move towards a new place-based, multidisciplinary service across health and social care aligned with primary care networks." In support of this objective, Buckinghamshire Community Mental Health Framework Programme intends to commission an evaluation.. This will focus on the core Community Mental Health model transformation and also the development of new pathways for eating disorder, personality disorder and rehabilitation. The evaluation will assess the success of each pathway. The evaluation is over two years from April 2022 to March 2024. NB These latter dates over which the evaluation was originally envisaged to take place have been amended (see below). Please note that although the tender award was made on 29th March 2022, contract finalisation and signature did not take place until 23rd March 2023 due to resultant delays because of ongoing legal discussions.
