Description

The Council wishes to establish a contract for the provision of Home Adaptation and Improvement Service for its citizens. The Service will be divided into two main delivery elements: Discretionary and Mandatory provision. Mandatory Services will include delivery of Major Adaptations funded by the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) for all tenures with the exception of Council tenants. Discretionary services will include works in excess of £30k (mandatory DFG limit), delivery of Key Safes, Minor Adaptations, some major adaptations costing under £10k and works to address affordable warmth, home hazards, safety and security within a citizen’s property.The Contract will last for 5 years (unless terminated under the terms and conditions of contract) with the provision to extend for up to an additional 2 years subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.

KCC is seeking a suitable organisation to propose and deliver a programme of non-clinical Level 1 Universal Parent Infant Relationship Interventions, to test and pilot new ideas. Level 1 Parent Infant Relationship Intervention will comprise of the following elements. •Creative group sessions – Interactive for parents/families with their baby/Infant •Facilitated group discussion – to include peer and mutual support •One to One support and feedback to parents. The purpose of this parent infant relationship intervention is to help parents to deepen the bond with their baby/Infant. Finding a range of ways for parents to have two-way communication with their baby to help with their relationship and to help baby/infant development. The programme will support parents to learn coping mechanisms and tools to cope with the demands of being a new parent to develop insights and techniques to help them understand their baby/infant's development. This universal intervention aims to help prevent impaired bonding with a baby, promote positive parent and infant mental health and wellbeing and facilitate a stronger parent and infant bonding experience. The pilot is aimed at families that have a baby/infant up to the age of two. As part of this KCC would like to see creative group sessions that offer early support for those families with a newborn/infant up to 6 months. Families are defined as mums, dads, new parents, co parents, partners and carers which include family members who play a vital role in supporting parent infant relationships and the family's mental health.
