Description

NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Group are inviting interested providers to apply to be part of a framework for the provision of discharge to assess for rest and recuperation beds in Leeds.
The D2A service is aimed primarily at older people as the single biggest group of hospital bed users nationally. With a predicted growth in the over 65 age group these pressures are likely to increase. This specification outlines a temporary measure to alleviate pressures for this group across the wider health and social care system which may be further exacerbated by the COVID-19 outbreak.
The care will be delivered to service users that have been identified by the commissioner (or organisation acting on behalf of the commissioner) as requiring up to 4 weeks rest or recuperation for their long term needs to be assessed which is likely to be to return home, with or without a package of care.

The aim is to provide a comprehensive and seamless service for adults experiencing hearing and communication difficulties where they might benefit from hearing assessment and rehabilitation. This should include the option of trying hearing aids with aftercare and support, in line with the National Commissioning Framework, other national guidance and local requirements. The contract will be for an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years, service commencement date of XX/XX/XXXX. The services to which this procurement relates falls within the Schedule 1 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. As such, the procurement of the services is being run under Direct Award Process B. This exercise is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.
