GLIDE is a new initiative which aims to generate increased levels of entrepreneurship beyond pre-start by supporting individuals with the ambition to start up a business and linking them to the knowledge expertise, technology and research that resides within the University and through appropriate signposting to the wider business support landscape. By doing so, GLIDE seeks to encourage innovation in the wake of COVID-19 and ultimately invigorate economic development and productivity growth.

NICOR Java Developer for NHS Arden & GEM CSU

Provision of NICOR Java developer for NHS Arden & GEM CSU. The organisation will be required to provide software development and technical infrastructure management in the design development, testing and implementation of a number of applications and integrated services using the NICOR product platform. The web-based applications will be designed (with a strong on emphasis on usability and design) for the purpose of clinical data capture, extraction, and reporting and will include user identity management. The work is expected to be delivered by one technical expert working full-time (five days per week) over the contract period. In addition, there will be a requirement to complete a knowledge transfer to the substantive NICOR technical team at the end of each implementation phase in order to ensure ongoing maintenance and support of the applications by the substantive team. The organisation will need to ensure the built applications are both secure and robust within the operational environment, the components can be updated without affecting the clinical data in each registry application, and all programming code is maintained within a centralised code repository. It’s important that the design and functionality translates into familiarity for the end users who interact with a number of other existing NICOR registries. It is expected the organisation will be able to demonstrate compliance with Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 in order to secure wider social, economic, and environmental benefits.
