Description

AeroSpace Cornwall is a programme which promotes research, development and innovation (RD&I), funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cornwall Council. 

The programme, which runs from December 2019 to December 2022, will support at least sixty businesses through grants and specialist business support whilst leveraging £1,375,639 of match funding from the private sector. It aims to;

•	Increase the performance and competitiveness of local enterprises, create highly skilled jobs and launch new products into the marketplace

•	Develop the 'innovation ecosystem' for the space and aerospace clusters by incentivising local businesses to collaborate with other businesses and research institutions to accelerate their innovation. 

•	Increase the value and capability of the local space and aerospace clusters and secure ongoing investment in them. 

AeroSpace Cornwall also supports inward investors by awarding soft landing packages and investment incentives, with the aim of encouraging collaboration with other businesses across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. 

AeroSpace Cornwall works with manufacturing and engineering businesses who are, or aspire to be, part of the space / aerospace supply chains and digital businesses such as those developing software applications in the satellite communications, earth observation, navigation and meteorology areas.

Cornwall Development Company is seeking to commission contractors to objectively assess current and future demand for assembly, integration and test facilities at the Cornwall Airport Newquay site and within a 5 miles radius of this site.  

The contractors must be able to demonstrate adequate cluster knowledge, industrial expertise, market knowledge and be able to leverage the appropriate network to carry out the following market research activities; 

-	Perform a broad market analysis of a potential user base

-	Analyse the needs of potential customers who would use such facilities

-	Perform competition analysis and identify the USPs of AIT facilities in Cornwall compared to facilities elsewhere

The individual or organisation will be expected to identify potential users and articulate their assembly, integration and testing needs in order to; 

-	Quantify the economic benefits to Cornwall and the local supply chain, based on high level costing information and potential income streams gathered from interviews 

-	Propose a Business Model for the AIT facilities, including:

•	Defining the Value Proposition
•	Recommending who could manage the AIT facilities, and how this would be managed, including the key partners that would be required to support the development of facilities
•	Recommending potential services that the facilities would need to offer, and any equipment required

ID 5623675 - DAERA - CAFRE - ESTABLISHMENT SOIL CARBON STOCKS BASELINE AT THE CAFRE FARMS

The CAFRE Soil Carbon Coring Project has been developed by technologists at CAFRE to obtain a field level baseline of soil carbon stocks, soil nutrient and carbon properties at the five CAFRE estate farms in Northern Ireland. The project will provide CAFRE with a dataset that can be used for the delivery of innovation projects and industry demonstration on the management of soil carbon stocks and soil sequestration rates across a wide array of soil types, land uses and management practices. The project objectives are to - provide a detailed accurate measurement, analysis and establishment of a dataset of soil carbon stocks on active agricultural soils and on non-active agricultural/farmland soils at an individual field and subsequent whole farm level at each CAFRE farm centres - sample, analyse and report on broad soil nutrient and carbon properties at 0 – 7.5 cm depth on grassland areas and 0 – 15 cm on arable areas at an individual field and subsequent whole farm level at each CAFRE farm centre.. CAFRE wishes to establish a contract for a Supplier to provide a stratification and sampling plan, in-field sampling, lab analysis and reporting of soil carbon stocks. In addition, the supplier will provide the provision of sampling for broad soil nutrient analysis, and soil carbon properties from across the CAFRE estate farms, which are to be analysed by NRM Cawood Laboratories.
