Description

NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group is seeking providers for the delivery of a high quality community based vasectomy services.  The services are presently delivered in Primary Care and Community Hospital settings ensuring equity of access to quality services for all patients registered with a General practitioner in Gloucestershire.

The aim of the service is to deliver an accessible and high quality community vasectomy service which will offer patients a choice of location.

Providers will need to evidence that they meet the requirements set out in the service specification.

RCOG guidelines state that practitioners must undertake a minimum of 40 procedures annually to maintain their expertise and familiarity with the process and this level must be met.

Existing providers of community vasectomy services are required to apply via this process to ensure continued service provision.

The complete pathway includes pre-vasectomy counselling, surgical procedures and post-vasectomy testing.

Providers will be required to operate under the terms of the NHS Standard Contract and will be paid according to the local price as stated in the service specification document.  As stated above, there are no guarantees of activity volumes / payment in any contract given to an accredited Any Qualified Provider for this service.  The volume of activity for the successful applicants will be dependent on patient choice.

Providers will be eligible to join a list of qualified providers subject to demonstrating competency against the authority's specified criteria.  This AQP procurement is open to existing providers and new entrants to the market, subject to assessment.

It should be noted that under the Any Qualified Provider model that there will be no guarantee of activity volume or payments in the contracts awarded.

Organisations will be asked to complete and return a qualification questionnaire.


The Contracting Authority will only award contract(s) to providers who can demonstrate that they meet the minimum standards detailed within the service specification.

Parenting Support Training and Delivery Grants

North Northamptonshire Family Hubs Programme is pleased to invite organisations across the partnership, including health services, local authorities, voluntary and community sector (VCS) groups and faith groups to apply for funding to deliver one of three evidence-based parenting support programmes: Triple P for Baby, Triple P Stepping Stones, and the Solihull Approach. Organisations should have experience in family support, early years, or community-based interventions, and the capacity to release staff or volunteers for training. This opportunity is targeted at services already engaged with families and managing caseloads within North Northamptonshire, ensuring the seamless implementation of evidence-based parenting programmes within established governance frameworks. The goal is to empower professionals to provide high-quality, evidence-based parenting support to families in North Northamptonshire, fostering stronger outcomes for children and parents across the region. Successful applicants will gain free access to accredited training and grant funding of up to £10,000 per organisation per training programme. This funding is designed to support service delivery and related activities. Training spaces will be available for 5-10 participants per organisation, depending on suitability and capacity to deliver effectively. Each successful organisation will receive: • Access to accredited training in one of the specified programmes • A grant of up to £10,000 to support participation, preparation, and implementation • Guidance and coordination from the Family Hubs team to ensure alignment with local delivery plans • Access to shared resources and learning networks within the Family Hubs parenting workstream Organisations are welcome to submit multiple bids if they wish to access training in the different parenting support interventions: Triple P for Baby, Triple P Stepping Stones, and the Solihull Approach. For each bid, they should provide evidence of how they will reach and engage diverse community groups through a broad and inclusive offer. Successful organisations will be expected to: • Identify up to five practitioners to undertake the training and subsequent delivery • Participate in pre- and post-training engagement sessions with the Family Hubs team • Deliver sessions in line with programme fidelity and safeguarding requirements • Contribute to local monitoring and evaluation through data returns and feedback forms • Work collaboratively with Family Action, Family Hub staff, and other local partners to ensure consistent delivery Grants of up to £10,000 per organisation per programme are available to cover staff time, backfill, materials, and reasonable associated costs. Funding must be used to support participation in training, preparation for delivery, and the implementation of the selected programme(s).
