Description

Tenders are invited for the provision of markets in Warwick District. This includes:
      
      o Weekly markets that take place in Market Square, Warwick (Saturdays) and Abbey End, Kenilworth (Thursdays), 
      o Farmers & producers Markets that take place in Warwick and Leamington, 
      o Covent Garden Quarter Markets in Leamington, and 
      o Seasonal Sunday Markets in Leamington. 
      
      The successful tenderer will become Warwick District Councils Sole Market Operator and will work in partnership with the Council to fulfil market service provisions across the district. This may include working with the designated officer to identify and implement additional markets in the district.
      
      The contract will be for a period of 4years commencing July 2021. With an option to extend for 2 years.
      
      The Contract Value is approximately ?228,000  [per 12 month period]. This is a Concession Contract with a percentage of income being paid to WDC.

To ensure the seamless delivery of Taunton Together, that is recognised as regional festival, the appointed organiser will be responsible for creating a comprehensive event management plan that incorporates risk assessments to identify potential hazards. In addition, the plan must address the acquisition of adequate public liability insurance to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, ensuring the safety and well-being of all attendees, participants, and staff. The document will serve as a critical tool in coordinating logistics, safety protocols, and resource allocation for the event. The event footprint of the event includes: • Hammet Street (with road closure) • Taunton Minster • Castle Green • Somerset Square • Goodland Gardens • Fore Street and High Street A premises licence is in place for up to 5,000 attendees across designated areas.
