Located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. Diamond allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level. Valves must be current standard catalogue items, which the supplier has a history of supplying; in some cases these will need to be customised to meet the DLS specification. Tender responses must be compliant with the specification. However, suppliers may also offer available alternatives to those outlined in the specification as options. A further yearly price agreement (PAG) for the components listed needs to be given by the supplier for future years of the Diamond-II lifetime and after the contract has ended.
