Description

The HANDi Paediatric app gives up-to-date advice about common childhood illnesses and how to treat them.

Developed by NHS organisations in Devon, the app is available to download for free onto any Apple or Android smartphone or tablet.

The app has been produced to help reduce the number of children and young people who visit A&E but need no treatment.

Designed by paediatric consultants, the app provides access to home care plans, as well as GP and hospital clinical guidelines, for the most common childhood health care conditions.

The overarching objectives of the HANDi App campaign will:
•	Increase the number of downloads by 50%
•	Decrease in number of paediatric attendances without further investigations in Devon's four 4 acute hospital trusts

The campaign will:
•	Highlight the benefits of the app to the target audience
•	Encourage people to download and use the app
