Description

Falmouth University's School of Film & Television have a requirement to replace the current data storage solution, (due to capital product age and technology advances) which previously contained the media/data of the Animation & VFX course only. We also require the solution to be fully supported by hardware/software developer and vendor for a minimum of 2 years costed as part of this tender response.

Falmouth University would aim to have this solution signed off and brought into the live environment before September 1st, 2022.

We require new solution to be 'software defined' and able to cater for the storage and playback requirements of courses covering activity not just in the sphere of Animation &

VFX, but for the postproduction needs of our Film, Television and Postproduction courses also.
The proposed solution in response to this tender will need to describe how data performance of up to 99 percent capacity utilisation of the storage solution will be maintained.

NB Falmouth university already has in-situ an enterprise level Avid Nexis Storage Solution which caters for Avid Media Composer and Pro Tools data storage and playback. It would be advantageous if any proposed solution in this tender was able to effectively provide storage and playback for Avid Media composer and Avid Pro Tools projects.
