Description

Mills & Reeve LLP is seeking to establish a relationship with a legal services firm to act as a key sub-contractor on certain future tender opportunities pursuant to Mills & Reeve's appointment to the Crown Commercial Service Legal Services Panel RM6179 (Lot 1: General Legal Advice and Services).

The successful provider will be expected to work collaboratively with Mills & Reeve on future tenders to develop innovative solutions and to deliver specialist legal services on a volume basis as and when required on specific projects in a number of sectors. Specialist legal services required include, but are not limited to property law, planning, highways, construction and related services. 

The successful provider is expected to align closely to Mills & Reeve's values and work collaboratively to deliver a high quality and effective service. The appointed bidder must meet the relevant accreditation requirements under the CCS Framework Agreement which include relevant ISO certifications (or equivalent) and Cyber Essentials Plus. 

The successful provider must have a track record of successful provision of high quality legal services at scale to government.

Interested suppliers who can meet the above requirements should provide the following information:

•	evidence of experience of delivering specialist legal services to the public sector in the property and planning specialisms, with specific reference to advising central government departments, their executive agencies and non departmental public bodies;

•	experience in establishing and maintaining relationships including with senior stakeholders, including experience of navigating government approvals processes;

•	details of all relevant ISO (or equivalent) and Cyber Essentials Plus certification held;

•	evidence of the supplier's ability to deliver legal support at volume (including use of paralegals and legal project managers) using appropriate processes and management systems; and

•	demonstration of the required leadership, organisational and communication skills to work collaboratively with Mills & Reeve and, if appointed, the relevant contracting authority under the framework.

Mills & Reeve will review all expressions of interest received by the deadline in order to appoint a supplier. Suppliers may be required to present their solution before any such appointment is confirmed. Any proposed appointment by Mills & Reeve pursuant to this contract notice is subject to approval by CCS.

Weston College Group is a college of further and higher education providing education and vocational training to nearly 30,000 learners across the country. The college puts the learner first and is entrepreneurial in its approach and innovative in its thinking. The appointed provider will be expected to demonstrate a strong track record in legal service delivery within the education sector, offering proactive and solution-focused support that upholds the highest standards of professional advice and responsiveness. The successful Contractor should also bring forward proposals that reflect a commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of environmentally responsible practices. In line with Weston College's sustainability objectives, bidders are encouraged to outline how their service delivery model and organisational operations will contribute to reducing carbon emissions and supporting the College's environmental policies throughout the contract term. Tender submissions are invited for one, multiple, or all of the four legal service Lots. Bidders may submit proposals for individual Lots or a combination thereof; however, each Lot will be evaluated independently. The successful Contractor(s) must hold all relevant professional qualifications, regulatory approvals, and statutory certifications required to provide legal services within the UK education sector at the time of tender submission, ensuring they are fully authorised and compliant to operate on behalf of the Weston College Group.
