Description

The aim of the service is to provide an effective and efficient Occupational Physiotherapy Service which supports Employee Wellbeing in SP&SFARS. The Supplier must ensure that services are provided in an environment that promotes access and ensures safe and effective support.  This includes ensuring that there is adequate privacy and confidentiality, cleanliness and maintenance.  
The Supplier must ensure that they promote easy access to services by offering client choice, e.g.  Appointment times. 
The Supplier must ensure they have paid due regard to the Equality Act 2010 and can evidence, where statutory obligations require, that they meet the needs of those covered by the requirements of the protected characteristics.
The Supplier will provide appropriate occupational assessment, advice and treatment for employees of the SP&SFARS.  
The Supplier is required to provide appropriate advice for line managers and provide clinical information for Occupational Health professionals at the beginning and conclusion of each case.
During the Agreement period, the Supplier will provide the Service in a proper and practised manner in line with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics' Professional Standards. These processes will work in accordance with employee medical consent guidelines.
All referrals, whether employee self-referrals or from Line Managers must be made through OHS&W

Veterans Welfare Services (VWS) Northern Ireland (NI) is part of Defence Business Services (Armed Forces & Veterans Services) - with Veterans Services covering the whole of the UK and beyond. VWS NI provides support to tri-Service veterans and their families, service leavers and bereaved families of service personnel on a one-to-one basis, either by the provision of sound information, guidance and support or more commonly via a holistic casework model, to support clients to best effect. One type of support provided includes MoD funded medical provision in line with the intent of the Armed Forces Covenant and includes physiotherapy services where an injury has been caused or aggravated by military service. MOD therefore require a provider who can: Provide a regionally delivered, comprehensive physiotherapy service in Northern Ireland for eligible clients that shall include assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders to physical and functional movement. Suppliers wishing to Tender for this requirement should submit their Tender on the DSP in accordance with the instructions contained within Invitation to Tender documentation (DEFFORM 47). Suppliers should also complete the Suitability Assessment Questions (SAQ) which is contained in the Qualification Envelope of project 713033451 on the DSP. These questions contain all the mandatory economic and financial grounds for rejection and the minimum levels of capacity and capability that are required to perform the contract. The SAQ is a pass/fail test for suitability and minimum levels of capability and capacity and suppliers who do not meet these minimum capability and capacity criteria will not pass to the Tender evaluation stage. Any tender Clarification Questions should be submitted through the DSP.
