The Contract in Outline:

Window / Doors Replacement:

The existing single glazed aluminium windows and two timber doors are to be replaced with new commercial grade aluminium thermally efficient double glazed units in new thermally broken aluminium frames.

The works require making good to each window and door for a full and complete installation.

The Main Contractor is required to programme and co-ordinate the work of all subcontractors and should plan for the works to be completed in 4 weeks.

Planning Permission - Conservation Area:

Although not a historic building, the magistrates' Court is located with the boundary of the Romsey Town Conservation Area 

The works must be carried out in strict accordance with the drawings and other tender documents which will ensure the obligations set out under planning permission relating to the window replacement are met.

The council is seeking to appoint suitably qualified contractors, to undertake the removal of existing doorsets and their replacement with full timber FD30s and FD30 fire doorsets to residential properties and associated communal areas through the council owned housing stock. These are classified as rectification works to replace previously installed flat entrance doorsets, and aged communal doorsets. Norwich City Council is undertaking these works due to the discovery of a number of anomalies in the installation and quality of previously installed doorsets. The safety of our residents is paramount, therefore NoCC is going to undertake remedial works to address this, which involves the replacement of the existing doorsets using an independently verified and tested product

For the supply and installation of triple glazing windows around the swimming pool and fire exit door replacement.

Huntingdonshire District Council is looking for an installation of triple glazing windows with suitable material frames to use within a swimming pool environment. This project is for One Leisure St Ives, Westwood Road, St Ives, CAMBS, PE27 6WU. We also require the installation of a solid door with emergency push bar control. This work will require the use of scaffolding/ MEWPs. This work must be completed by 31st January 2025. The swimming pool will need to remain operational during the duration of the works.
