Description

East Lothian Council is seeking an external contractor to undertake a survey on our behalf of ash trees alongside East Lothian’s public roads network for which the Council as Roads Authority is responsible (1072.6 km).
The purpose of the survey is to identify and map all ash trees alongside the roads network which may present a potential risk; to obtain information on each ash tree by assessing the presence and stage of Ash Dieback tree disease; to make assessments of the risk posed by individual diseased ash trees; and to make recommendations to the Council on the interventions and the urgency of action required.
