Description

Humberside Police (HP) have awarded a contract to a service provider to collect and kennel dogs upon their instruction that are a banned breed, dangerous or seized for welfare reasons within the Humberside region.  This service is will be provided 24/7/365(6) days a year with the provision of a minimum of 25 kennels (with potential access to further kennels should the need arise).
The collection of a dog will be undertaken within a maximum of 90 minutes following notification from Humberside Police.  The Service Provider will provide adequate and secure shelter, food and healthcare sufficient to meet the needs of the animal in line with the animal welfare act for animals placed in the custody of the kennel; this can be for long periods of time.

The Council wishes to invite tenders for the supply of services in respect of the stray dog kenneling service required by Bassetlaw District Council and Newark & Sherwood District Councils (The Councils). Any proposed extension is subject to satisfactory performance by the supplier and in accordance with the Council's business requirements. Any proposed extension to the contract will be agreed in writing between the Council and the supplier. The budget for this contract is £118,000 in its entirety (exclusive of VAT). Please Note: The Council reserves the right to reject any submissions that are over budget without further evaluation.
