Description

Scarborough Borough Council, under the title of the North East Coastal Observatory, is acting as the Lead Authority on behalf of all Local Authorities between the Scottish Border and Flamborough Head. This area is known as ‘Coastal Cell 1’ in England and Wales.
Collectively, these Local Authorities are undertaking the following regional coastal monitoring programme. This will involve the following activities:
• Beach profile surveying;
• Beach topographic surveying;
• Cliff-top position surveying;
• Bathymetric surveying;
• Sea bed characterisation;
• Wave and tide data collection;
• Aerial photography;
• LiDAR surveys;
• Ecological habitat mapping;
• Walk-over visual inspections of defences and natural features;
• Website updates;
• Data management;
• Data analysis and reporting.
The present contract is for the Topographic Surveying 2021-27 component part of the overall programme.

Pitches/recreation xii. Private gardens or grounds (off-Site areas) xiii. Water features including water and bed levels xiv. Earthworks, top and bottom of slopes xv. Quarries and rock faces xvi. Process structures xvii. Infrastructure plant and fixed machinery xviii. Geotechnical, boreholes, piezometers and trial pits xix. Railway features (with arranged access) xx. Ground levels xxi. Environmental, Invasive vegetation, areas of pollution / contamination (as determined by the Procurer) xxii. Any other feature likely to impact upon the proposed work
