The Communities & Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation. It currently has over one hundred members which consist of Housing Associations and Local Authorities with housing stock, which service over half a million social housing homes across the UK.
CHIC has now awarded Framework status to suitably qualified and experienced consultants in order to select consultants via competition of direct award to enter into contracts to provide Multi-disciplinary Building Consultancy Services for their Members.

SMART Digital & Productivity Accelerator

The Client is seeking to engage with quality providers to deliver a service that will provide industry specific diagnostics and specialised support to organisations in Wales. To enable and support Welsh organisations to improve productivity and accelerate NPD through embracing digital technologies, employing an Industry 5.0 approach to create a more resilient and sustainable business base. The service will cover two types of specialist support: -Advice on Digital methods for improving Productivity -Advice on Digital methods for accelerating New Product Development The main objectives of the service are: To support Welsh organisations as directed by the Welsh Government, who wish to improve their understanding and use of digital technologies and productivity tools, by introducing relevant actions, technology and expertise. To introduce new and enhanced digital activities in key areas to support organisations to develop and commercialise new and improved products and processes. The service will also introduce organisations to the Well-being of Future Generations explaining the relevance of the Sustainable Development principle and the Five Ways of Working. The successful bidder will be awarded an initial 12-month contract with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years on a plus 12-months plus 12 months basis. A maximum budget of up to GBP 277,500 per annum (excluding VAT) has been allocated to deliver the contract. Please be aware this is a demand led service, therefore there is no guaranteed level of expenditure. The maximum value is based on historical need for the contract and the maximum funding we have available.

Structural Engineering Services

Weston-super-Mare Town Council (WSMTC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified companies to provide professional support to Town Council staff by providing Structural Engineering Services at various Town Council Buildings and Sites in Weston-super-Mare, the contract will be for an initial 3-year term with the ability to extend by a further two years by agreement. The company will need to have proven and demonstrable experience in a similar environment and the wide-ranging skill bases to achieve the various elements of the contract which include Structural Inspections and Reports, Engineering Support with Town Council Projects, Supporting the Town Council with management of their portfolio, defect diagnosis and structural assessments. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must demonstrate that all practicable steps are being taken to allow equal access and equal treatment in employment and service delivery, as appropriate to the nature of the contract. Following a decision made by WSMTC in July 2020, the Council is committed to working with Companies who pay the Real Living Wage to their employees. Companies from whom WSMTC procure goods and services must be able to demonstrate and excellent Health and Safety record, accordingly contractors that cannot demonstrate an excellent record, free from enforcement action, will not be considered. Companies must also be able to demonstrate how they provide social value with the work being carried out, within parameters set out by the Town Council. WSMTC will evaluate the Expression of Interest submissions received, and shortlist qualifying companies to invite tenders for the contract. Registration of interest does not imply inclusion on the tender list. Tender documents will be issued mid-late February 2025. The evaluation will be in accordance with the following criteria, a fail under the Health and Safety criteria will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. An aggregate of 4 or more fails will automatically result in exclusion from the tender list. - Proven experience in working as part of a project team providing engineering support in connection with alterations and refurbishment schemes in Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings -Financial capability -Proven experience in providing building advice in connection with Heritage Buildings and Public Buildings -Evidence of an excellent Health & Safety Record (no enforcement action under current legislation) -Confirmation that employees are paid Real Living Wage. -Resources and availability to tender in February 2025 and commence in May 2025 information on how to apply within attached EOI document Additional information: EOI Document continued...
