Lot 3 LAND, CONSENT AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES
Cadent are awarding single multi discipline Land, Consenting and Communications Contract to deliver a Development Consider Order (DCO) in line with the requirements set out in the Planning Act 2008, for circa 85km of high pressure hydrogen pipeline and circa 14 Hydrogen Above Ground Installations (HAGI's) situated in the North West of England. The principal workstreams of the contract will encompass:
• DCO drafting and submission
• Planning and Consent Activities
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Activities
• Land Rights Referencing Activities
• Statutory Consultation

Semi-regional subsurface modelling of formation fluid movement in response to CO2 injection with a focus on the impact at existing wells

This project aims to utilise subsurface modelling in an appropriate part of the UKCS, to simulate CO2 injection and the related impact of pressure changes and formation fluid movement at existing wells. Identifying the magnitude and timing of pressure changes in relation to a range of well situations (e.g. open/closed to rock at different stratigraphic levels) is a key measure of success. Additionally, in the event that modelling suggests plausible scenarios where formation fluid may be expected to escape to the water column, the NSTA are interested in quantifying the potential impacts. For example, the duration, distribution and magnitude of salinity changes on different scales. In detail, the NSTA expects that any proposal would incorporate, but not be limited to consideration of: • pressure changes associated with CO2 injection on a variety of scales at existing well locations; • pressure changes, across multiple stratigraphic intervals, at the well locations and the timing over which they occur; • the relative susceptibility to fluid escape of wells based on 'typical' abandonment scenarios and their relationship to subsurface architecture (e.g. open to one penetrated interval, closed to another) and CO2 injection activity; • the volume of formation fluid that could enter a wellbore at different stratigraphic intervals as a result of CO2 injection; • impacts of formation fluid escape on the water column on a variety of scales; This project does not seek to explicitly model CO2 migration or any form of CO2 leakage but rather the pressure effects and movement of formation fluid in the context of existing wells as a consequence of CO2 injection. This project is a subsurface focussed objective rather than a well focus and should not enter into detailed well design or abandonment status. Additional information: The terms and conditions will be determined by the final bid price of the successul tender.

Conceptual modelling for migration assisted storage

There are countless subsurface factors that influence the regional suitability and ultimate success of storing (and monitoring) CO2 in an "unconfined" saline aquifer. The behaviour of a plume of CO2 and the associated pressure changes resulting from displaced formation fluid will respond to geological heterogeneity on multiple scales e.g. hydraulic connectivity as a function of lithology, facies or poroperm variation; or physical connectivity as a function of structure e.g. dip, fault presence/throw/transmissibility or the presence or shape of salt bodies. To help the NSTA understand and better define migration assisted storage potential on the UKCS, it is first necessary to understand boundaries or constraints that impact plume behaviour. This project aims to determine, under defined geological conditions ("scenarios"), subsurface factors that influence or control the behaviour of CO2 injected into an unconfined, saline aquifer. Using subsurface concepts relevant to the offshore UKCS and under defined geological conditions, we seek to run simulations using representative fluid properties of CO2 to investigate the subsurface factors that most influence or control the behaviour of migrating CO2. In detail, the NSTA expects that any proposal would incorporate, but not be limited to consideration of: • Define and run a series of experimental simulations that could represent the primary controlling factors in plume behaviour when CO2 is injected into an unconfined saline aquifer offshore e.g. plume behaviours within a laterally and vertically heterogenous braided channel sequence where dip is opposed to the main depositional trend. • What are the most important geological parameters that could be considered in scenario testing to understand plume behaviour e.g. what has a higher relative impact on plume behaviour - dip or facies variation? • How might a migrating CO2 plume interact with top and bottom sealing units and what are the implications for plume behaviour? Additional information: The terms and conditions will be determined by the final bid price of the successul tender.

Consultancy Services - A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS)

Bromford is a Housing Association with over 46,000 homes and an ambitious new build development programme. We are seeking support from companies and partners that can provide individual or a range of the services identified below. Whilst these will predominantly be for the purposes of our new homes development, there are often cases of individual existing homes where we need specialist support and advice. Whether this be in relation to defects, disrepair or structural matters, concerns raised by customers or Bromford seeking to dispose of the home, we need a range of partners that can support these elements as well. Organisations can be added to the DPS at anytime throughout the year, once they have completed the qualifying process (first stage). The organisation will then form part of Bromfords' approved list and can bid for tenders. The statements below are not an exhaustive list of requirements that will be appointed, but designed to give an overview of the services required. Each appointment will be subject to a scope of works specific to each project. Bromford needs to appoint the following services:- Clerks of Work Employers Agent Party Wall Surveyor Ecologist Highways/Transport Planner Archaeologist Acoustic Consultant Ground Investigation Landscape Architect Construction Health and Safety Services Energy Consultant Services (Gas, Electric, Water) Planning Consultant SAP Assessor Adoption Consultant Property/Land Valuer Valuations Civil Engineer Structural Engineer Auctioneers Surveying Services Due to Bromford increasing in size and covering multiple areas across England, we would require the DPS to have 2 Lots per service. This would cover the North localities and the South regions separately. The bidders can apply to one or both locality areas if they have experience in these areas. Bromford class the North locality regions as: Staffordshire and the Marches, Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Telford and Wrekin, Cannock, Shropshire, Bromsgrove, Lichfield, Redditch, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, North Warwickshire, South Derbyshire, Warwick, Rugby, Daventry and surrounding areas. Bromford class the South locality regions as: Tewkesbury, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, Stratford Upon Avon, Cheltenham, Herefordshire, Forest of Dean, Stroud, Cotswolds, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bedford, South Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Bristol, Bath, North/East Somerset and surrounding areas.
