Description

Wiltshire Council require Intrusive Ground Investigation Surveys to be undertaken by an experienced Ground Investigation Contractor to the south east of Chippenham. The work will include specified field tests to determine the geotechnical properties and characteristics of the various strata present along the length of the proposed distributor road.
The Ground Investigation Contractor will act as the Principal Contractor for the works and safely coordinate activities on site.
The ground investigation surveys are required to enable the collection of ground information including; constancy, strength and strata composition as well as samples for laboratory testing, contamination extents and ground water data for use in the design of the new road section. Intrusive works shall comprise borehole drilling, trial pit excavation and Cone Penetration testing.

Southern Water needs to obtain approval to construct a ~85km pipeline plus associated treatment works and other infrastructure, to transfer drinking water from the Thames Water area to Southern Water's network in Hampshire. Generation 5 Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Framework

Hampshire County Council invites applications from suitably experienced organisations who wish to be considered for selection to tender for the Generation 5 Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Framework. The Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Framework 5th Generation 2025-2029 (Gen5 GFF) is designed to provide Hampshire County Council (HCC) with the provision of site investigation services, technical geotechnical advice and associated specialist technical advice in the fields of highways engineering, construction, property and transportation operations. The Framework will commence on 1st June 2025 and will be for a period of four years. Interested parties should register their interest in the project via the In-Tend website https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire, and complete and submit the tender return document together with any supporting information requested by 14.00 hrs on Friday 20th December 2024.
