Provision of Digital Skills Training

Birmingham City Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint an organisation for the provision of Digital Skills Training for SMEs and Micro Businesses in Birmingham. Birmingham City Council (BCC), through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), is committed to equipping local organisations with the skills, knowledge, and expertise needed to thrive in today’s digital economy. BCC is inviting proposals from experienced digital training providers and suitably qualified and experienced individuals and organisations to deliver bite-sized, practical digital skills training and Digital Support Vouchers to SMEs and Micro Businesses. The programme aims to strengthen the digital capabilities of local organisations, enabling them to adopt and apply tools that support growth, efficiency, and resilience. The contract(s) being procured have been split into Lots, as follows. Training should cover (but is not limited to): • Lot 1: Cyber Security • Lot 2: Artificial Intelligence (AI) • Lot 3: Web Development • Lot 4: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) • Lot 5: GDPR and Data Compliance • Lot 6: Digital Marketing • Lot 7: Social Media for Marketing • Lot 8: Digital Support Vouchers Bidders may bid for one or more Lots and Lots will be assessed individually with separate contracts will be awarded for each Lot. Delivery formats may include Face-to-face training (within Birmingham, Online delivery or a combination of the two. The contract for the services will commence in December 2025 and will be in place for a period of upto 4 Months. The Council will be using its free to use e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and potential suppliers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
