Description

The key aims of the tender are to:
 Provide a high standard of cleaning
 Deliver the cleaning services with consistency - good quality assurance systems in place
 Good communication at local and operations manager level with the School - two-way communication
 Daily interaction with the School representative at each site
 Develop an effective method of handing over any special needs and comments on a daily basis
 Cleaners to work the hours that best suit the needs of the School and maximise the work completed
 Training and development of the teams at the School
Transfer of Undertakings
All contractors are informed that TUPE 2006 Regulations DO NOT APPLY to this contract.
For the purpose of this tender please cost for 60 hours of cleaning with 20 hours of supervision per week. The Supervisor was 60% cleaning, 40% supervision. There is opportunity to submit an alternative proposal for the school to review but the evaluation will be based on the 80 hours previously used.
The Service comprises:
 The cleaning service to all buildings as described within the attached schedule of areas.
 Additional cleaning services to cover the use of the buildings outside normal operating hours

The successful contractor will be required to: •Review the current cleaning provision and propose improvements where appropriate • Operate to consistently high standards, ensuring the College remains clean, hygienic, and fit for purpose • Proactively manage the contract, achieving all service specifications and maintaining the required cleaning frequencies and effectiveness as outlined in the Tender Specification The contract will be for an initial three-year period from April 2026 to April 2029, with the option to extend for a further two years, subject to mutual agreement. This will be a fixed-price contract, with the contractor invoicing monthly at one-twelfth of the agreed annual cost. The College expects the contractor to bring: •A focus on environmental sustainability •A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in both cleaning techniques and equipment •Delivery of services in line with BICSc standards, as a minimum •A focus on productivity and efficiency throughout the contract term Current cleaning arrangement: At present there are 14 cleaning staff employed at Woking College where the structure is: •1 working cleaning supervisor •13 cleaning operatives The current contract value (2024/25) is approximately £143,939 per annum.
