Description

The key aims of the tender are to:
 Provide a high standard of cleaning
 Deliver the cleaning services with consistency - good quality assurance systems in place
 Good communication at local and operations manager level with the School - two-way communication
 Daily interaction with the School representative at each site
 Develop an effective method of handing over any special needs and comments on a daily basis
 Cleaners to work the hours that best suit the needs of the School and maximise the work completed
 Training and development of the teams at the School
Transfer of Undertakings
All contractors are informed that TUPE 2006 Regulations DO NOT APPLY to this contract.
For the purpose of this tender please cost for 60 hours of cleaning with 20 hours of supervision per week. The Supervisor was 60% cleaning, 40% supervision. There is opportunity to submit an alternative proposal for the school to review but the evaluation will be based on the 80 hours previously used.
The Service comprises:
 The cleaning service to all buildings as described within the attached schedule of areas.
 Additional cleaning services to cover the use of the buildings outside normal operating hours

Schools Site Management, Buildings Maintenance and Cleaning Services

The QUEST Trust is a unique faith trust comprising of five schools - one senior 16 to 19, four primary and one nursery. The successful supplier(s) will be required to provide site management services (including buildings maintenance) and / or school cleaning services across the sites of the Trust. The QUEST Trust is seeking requests for proposals from suitably qualified and experienced operators to provide and manage the site management teams(SM), planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance (RM) and the schools cleaning services (SCS) in accordance with good industry practice. The Trust is looking to appoint a contractor via Lots to manage this import part of its facilities arrangements. TUPE regulations will apply to this contract for the Site Managers and Cleaning Operatives. The successful supplier(s) will be required to demonstrate that they currently hold Admitted Body Status (ABS) to the Local Government Pension Scheme of the Greater Manchester Pension. The Tender documents will be issued as an Open Procedure in two parts - 1. The Supplier Selection Questionnaire (SSQ) and 2. An Invite to Tender (ITT). Both documents will be required to be submitted by the deadline date. The Trust has engaged an external consultant to assist with the management of this process to which all communications must go through. The date at IV.2.2 in this notice is the closing date for receipt of tenders. IMPORTANT - the Trust is not bound to award any of the Lots to any bidder if the criteria for the services delivery has not been met during the procurement process. Lot 1 and Lot 2 may be awarded individually to two contractors or awarded to one contractor as combined Lots.
