Description

Cardiff Council offers a separate collection service for Absorbent Hygiene Products (AHP) in yellow striped bags. At present, this waste is sent for disposal. This contract is for the product to be instead recycled by Nappicycle Ltd, in order to deliver a higher recovery and recycling rate for Cardiff. Nappicycle will reprocess the waste and provide certificates to Cardiff Council to enable us to count the reprocessing of AHP waste against our recycling targets. The Certificates will be in line with waste regulations and compliant with NRW auditing process.

Collection and Recycling of Garden Waste

Swindon Borough Council (SBC) is seeking to enter into a contract with a single contractor for the collection and recycling of garden waste from the Council Waterside Depot, which has been collected from the kerbside by SBC, disposed of by the public at the Council’s Household Waste and Recycling Centre, or via any other approved methods. The initial contract term will be for 36 months with an option to extend for a further 24 months for a potential total contract term of 5 years as stated in the ITT documents. Estimated contract spend is between £900,000 and £1,050,000 across the initial 3-year contract term and between £900,000 and £1,750,000 across the potential total 5-year contract term.
