Description

Translink's Infrastructure and Projects Division is responsible for maintenance and capital works to all property, infrastructure and assets for Northern Ireland Railways Company, Ulsterbus, Metro and NITHC and wish to establish a Framework for the provision of general on-site safety services to support the delivery of Translink’s programme of capital and maintenance works. Translink wish to appoint seven (excluding ties) Suppliers onto the Framework. It is anticipated that five (5) of the Suppliers will be on an active list with the remaining two (2) Suppliers on a reserve list. In the event of the number of successful Suppliers being five (5) or under, all Suppliers will be placed on the active list. The duration of this Framework will be a maximum of 6 years in total - a 3-year initial term with the option to extend by a further 36 months. No individual single extension will be granted for a period longer than 24 months and any extension will be at the discretion of the Client. Your response must be submitted via the relevant Call for Tender (CfT) on the eTendersNI portal. Owner's Engineer

Great British Nuclear) is aiming to procure up to two OEs as part of its Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme. The OE will provide essential independent assurance to the Intelligent Customer and Intelligent Client for the relevant SMR project. This will support the deployment of first-of-a-kind nuclear technology in the UK and facilitate GBN's goal of reaching a Final Investment Decision(s) for up to two SMR projects. In particular, the OE will act as a 'client friend' to the Intelligent Customer and Intelligent Client and provide competent resource to undertake specification, oversight, audit, review and advice for decisions relating to design, scope, budget, risk, delivery and contract compliance.  It will also play the role of subject matter expert to deliver independent technical and delivery Line of Defence 2 assurance on major design and build contracts.  Each tenderer will be expected to be able to evidence how it will provide all of the capabilities outlined in the Technical ability section of the questions relating to the conditions of participation. The total contract value of £600m stated in this notice assumes that GBN will award two OE contracts (one for each planned SMR project), each with a total contract value of up to £300m. The actual value will depend on a number of factors. GBN reserves the right not to proceed with two SMR projects. The duration of the OE contract(s) is not yet confirmed. This notice envisages a 14-year term, but please note that GBN will set a completion date once the outcome of the SMR Technology Partner procurement is known.

UKRI-4763 NERC - Aircraft Operations Safety Case Development for British Antarctic Survey and FAAM Airborne Laboratory

UKRI is seeking to appoint a supplier to provide Aircraft Operations Safety Case Development for the British Antarctic Survey and FAAM Airborne Laboratory with defined timescales for clearly outlined deliverables. This procurement will result in appointing a supplier via a contract for external aviation safety expertise to: •to assist in authoring fully developed aircraft operations safety cases for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) owned aircraft and all science equipment carried on board, and; •to develop safety case processes and supporting procedures to enable further subsequent development and review in-house. UKRI owned aircraft are as below. British Antarctic Survey (BAS) •one De-Havilland Canada (DCH) DASH 7; •four DHC Twin Otters (DHC 6-300); and •one future replacement aircraft De-Havilland Canada DASH 8. Facility for Airborne Atmospheric Measurements (FAAM): •one BAE 146-301. The aircraft operate in non-standard environments, such as low altitude (FAAM) and the Antarctic/Arctic (BAS) and scientific communities a means to conduct cutting edge climate research. The UKRI Framework Document sets out safety and governance responsibilities with regards to delivery of National Capabilities: FAAM Airborne Laboratory and British Antarctic Survey. To fulfil those responsibilities, the AAP was set up to oversee the management of aviation risk within these air operations. It was agreed that a safety case methodology would be followed, in line with best practice and a Goal Structure Notation (GSN) safety case method was elected.
