Description

The University seeks to engage a professional Investment advisor to assist the Investments Committee and staff in undertaking the duties delegated to it as outlined in its Terms of Reference for a 48 month period .
Aberystwyth University currently has 159 Endowment Funds with a capital value of 40.4m. New funds are created almost annually whilst some of the original funds date back to the very inception of the University.  The Endowment funds have primarily been created via a mixture of donations and bequests with the vast majority having specific conditions attached to their use.
Revenue is currently used for a variety of purposes such as Scholarships, Bursaries, and Prizes for students, as well as assisting staff with their work and research through grants and awards. Over the years the Endowment Funds have also contributed towards other institutional goals such as the purchase of land, buildings, and equipment.

Lead Financing and Structuring Advisory Services

Great British Nuclear (GBN) is an arm's length body that was set up with the aim of delivering the government's long-term nuclear programme. It is currently running a competitive tender to select up to two technology providers for the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme. Alongside this workstream GBN is looking to set up a development company (DevCo) through which each SMR project can be delivered. In anticipation of this GBN will be looking to appoint a lead financing and structuring advisor to support it in developing deliverable financing strategies so that each DevCo can raise private financing while ultimately delivering value for money to consumers and taxpayers. Energy Efficiency Dynamic Purchasing System (EEDPS)

Energy Efficiency Dynamic Purchasing System (EEDPS) Plymouth City Council (PCC), as the lead Contracting Authority, in collaboration with Independence Brokerage Services CIC (trading as Independence CIC (INCIC)), is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for use by public sector bodies. This procurement framework is designed to deliver energy efficiency measures, retrofitting installations, and associated works for social housing and private domestic properties. It will also extend to other property types owned or managed by local authorities and public sector organisations. PA invites organisations to participate in a 60-month DPS for the provision of Electronic Payments and Associated Services. The DPS will be accessible by all current and future members of PA.
