Description

Wealden District Council (‘the Council’) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to install a network of electric vehicle (EV) chargepoints in a number of our Council owned car parks. The key aim is to secure a partner that will provide investment and work with the Council to install and operate a network of chargepoints across our public car parks, and manage the network on the Council’s behalf. Our vision is for a publicly accessible chargepoint network that will serve residents without access to off-street parking, as well as provide charging facilities for both visitors and commuters. The Council is looking to encourage EV uptake in all parts of the community. The Council is looking to award a single-supplier concession contract for a term of 15 years, and it is expected that the winning Supplier will form a partnership with the Council to ensure that the network develops over time to meet demand, and that the most suitable charging speeds are selected.

North Northamptonshire Council - Provision of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and Associated Services (LEVI)

North Northamptonshire Council ("NNC") is seeking potential providers for the delivery of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the council area. The proposed arrangement will be a Concession Contract, which includes comprehensive requirements for the provision of end-to-end services. This involves turnkey solutions for designing, planning, constructing, installing, operating, and maintaining a smart EV charging network. NNC is adopting a portfolio approach to EV infrastructure delivery, which will include on-street installations in towns and villages in areas where households do not have access to off-street parking, as well as deployments in NNC-owned public car park sites. NNC is conducting this procurement through the open procedure to identify the provider(s) for the requirement. This procurement process is being managed in accordance with The Concession Contracts Regulations 2016. NNC proposes to enter into one (1) Contract for an initial period of 15 years (180 months) with the preferred Potential Supplier, with an option to extend for 12 months, making 192 months in total. The anticipated contract commencement date is May 02, 2025. A maximum public funding value of £5,000,000 (five million pounds) has been identified for this concession contract. The initial public sector funding available is £2,895,000 for the delivery of the requirement as set out in the Specification (Schedule 1 Appendix 1 Specification). This should be based upon the base 15-year contract, with the core services as detailed in the tender documentation. The identification of £5,000,000 public funding provides for potential additional funding as described in the Specification in the tender documents. However, the decision whether to award and invest additional public funds through the contract is at NNC's sole discretion.
