Description

This invitation to tender (the “Tender”) covers the provision of some of the arboricultural
works operations for land under the management responsibility of Green Sefton (the
“Services”) throughout Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council (the “Authority”). In the main
this covers trees within the parks, open spaces, cemeteries, crematoria and trees on
adopted highways throughout the Authority.
The aim of this Tender is to set out a framework in the approach to the arboricultural works
Services delivery that will assist the Authority’s long-term commitment towards improving
the standards and use of its parks and open spaces and the management of its highway
trees.
Vision: The Authority is committed to putting parks back into the heart of the community by
providing attractive, welcoming, safe, accessible, and sustainable facilities that are valued
locally and recognised nationally as amongst the best.
Our objective: Is to increase the number and quality of the Authority’s trees.
For this Tender, this means that the Authority will wish to forge a strong and positive working
partnership with the Contractor and share the commitment towards achieving the highest
possible quality of arboricultural works and high level of customer satisfaction whatever
resources are available or difficulties we may face in delivering the Services.
