Description
Local Authorities now have new statutory responsibilities under the new Domestic Abuse Act which came into statute in April 2021. Hartlepool Borough Council wishes to meet these duties in relation to domestic abuse for victims, perpetrators and children through commissioning services to help reduce the incidents and impact of domestic abuse. The contract will comprise the following Lots: Lot 1 – A Domestic Abuse Support Service (Hartlepool) The Contractor will provide domestic abuse services for adults and children that are integrated and deliver holistic support to the whole family. The Contractor will establish clear pathways and referral routes into the different elements of the service for different family members. The Service will be comprised of: 1. Safe accommodation (Refuge & dispersed) with specialist onsite support 2. Move on 3. Specialist outreach support for victims/survivors and their families 4. Early intervention 5. Perpetrator intervention and support 6. Dispersed properties 7. Sanctuary schemes Lot 2 – A Domestic Abuse Children’s therapeutic service (Hartlepool) The Contractor will provide a therapeutic service to children and young people aged from 4 – 18 who have experienced domestic abuse.
