Description

The University requires to procure and install a state-of-the-art internally heated pressure vessel (IHPV) for synthesising and testing geological materials under crustal pressures and magmatic temperatures. The IHPV will complement other experimental equipment in Manchester and provide a nationally unique capability for the wider NERC community. The IHPV should be fully operational by 3rd March 2024.

Located on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. Installation at DLS is not included.
