Description

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) is looking to procure a Telematics system to be installed in approximately 400 vehicles across the fleet.   Make driving a BMBC vehicle safer -Introduce a live, automated in-vehicle method of letting drivers know how well they are driving. -Easily identify our most help needed drivers and intervene to reduce RTCs through positive action. -Have the ability to track hire vehicles through an easily removable device – also reducing lone working risk.  Reduce our impact on the Environment -Improve driving standards to reduce the fleet fuel usage and reduce the impact of the Council’s fleet on the Environment.

Orbit Group Ltd are looking to obtain a preferred supplier for our vehicle leasing services. We will require a provider to provide all aspects our of vehicle requirements including servicing and providing temporary vehicles if and when required. We will be looking to have this preferred supplier on an initial 4-year agreement with a 1-year extension available. We currently have a requirement for 32 new vehicles, but this could reduce, or increase based on our business needs. We do not have an exact specification on what vehicles we require but have listed the type of vehicles and their functionality in our ‘Vehicle Requirements’ document for bidders to provide different options on vehicles and servicing packages. We will also be asking for different prices to be provided for different vehicle options such as petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric. Internet of Things

The Authority is further extending its collaborative Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Internet of Things (IoT) for an additional 12 months until 19 September 2025. The DPS will remain open for new suppliers to apply to join. The Authority wishes to take this opportunity to refresh the supplier list to ensure current suppliers retain the minimum qualifying criteria, still have up-to-date contact details and still wish to remain as a supplier. Accordingly, suppliers that are currently on the DPS are required to refresh and resubmit their European Single Procurement Document (ESPD) in order to remain as a DPS supplier. There is no need to resubmit any case study evidence for current suppliers. Current suppliers are required to submit an updated ESPD within four weeks of this Contract Notice being issued. Failure to do so will result in current suppliers being removed from the DPS. Vehicles and associated supplies & services

Flagship Group is setting up a DPS for vehicles and associated supplies and services. Mini competitions will be issued throughout the life of the DPS. All the bidders registered on the DPS who have passed the Selection Stage will be invited to participate in the mini-competitions. Access to the Selection Stage will be open throughout the life of the DPS. The DPS may be used for any of Flagship Group's subsidiary companies.
