Description

The service will provide a regular and on-demand cleaning service for vulnerable Milton Keynes Council (the Council) social care clients, who, through ill-health or personal reasons are unable to maintain their accommodation as a safe and pleasant place to live.  People provided with the service may be experiencing a number of conditions, situations or demonstrating behaviours including but not limited to mental health conditions, particularly obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), physical ill health, autism, learning difficulty, domestic abuse, substance misuse, offending behaviour.To provide a Regular Cleaning Service of a high standard to the premises of clients as outlined above. This is likely for most clients to be bi-weekly or weekly but may be at other intervals. Each client will have a personalised cleaning plan drawn up by Adult Social Care and will be accessible to the Provider. Somerset Council has a need to procure one or more contractors to cover the cleaning of sheltered housing meeting halls, extra care housing facilities , communal areas within flat blocks, and to put in place ad-hoc arrangements in place, for example the removal of graffiti, deep cleaning and disposal of sharps. There are sub-Lots 2A and 2B to allow potential bidders to respond to potential service and price options. The preferred Lot for award is under sub-Lot 2A. Lot 2B will only be considered where there are no proposals under Lot A that meet the minimum standards required. Lot 3: 50% Geographical split of cleaning of communal areas in flat blocks (including specification for adhoc deep cleans and other adhoc requirements). There are sub-Lots 3A and 3B to allow potential bidders to respond to potential service and price options. The preferred Lot for award is under sub-Lot 3A. The Council will only award one contract for one sub-Lot for Lot 2 and one sub-Lot for Lot 3. Applicants may bid for one, two or all three Lots and therefore the number of contracts awarded will be between 1 and 3.
