Description

HES is seeking to commission a contractor to manage the on-going delivery of the existing HES Junior Tour Guides programme to the expected high standards. The approach should demonstrate meaningful opportunities to actively engage young people, including those with additional support needs, to support a cross-curricular and skills-based approach aligned to the aims and outcomes of the HES Learning Framework.  The key element of this commission is to sustain the existing Junior Tour Guides programme, on a national scale, working with six local schools across Scotland linked to HES sites: Bishops and Earls Palaces, Craigmillar Castle, Doune Castle, Huntly Castle, Linlithgow Palace and Trinity House. Supporting young people to actively re-connect with their local heritage post covid and share it in creative ways to make it more accessible to other young people through co-design projects is a priority for the HES Leaning and Inclusion Team.

Tailored Learning Open Framework 2025

Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) receives an annual grant from the Department for Education (DfE) via East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) to fund Community and Family Learning for adults aged 19+ in Nottinghamshire. The Council uses this Grant to ensure that local people have access to a range of flexible learning opportunities that contribute to their personal, social, educational and economic development. The vast majority of provision is delivered directly to the public via the Council's Contract with Inspire Learning. In addition to the contract to deliver direct services, Inspire Learning are also contracted to coordinate and manage supplementary contractors that deliver specialist provision that they do not deliver themselves. Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking organisations who: • are able to provide high quality Tailored Learning to adults over the age of 19 in Nottinghamshire. This provision should principally be courses that Inspire Learning is unable to deliver themselves; • if subject to Ofsted inspections, their most recent inspection was graded Good (grade 2) or better; • are not currently subject to a DfE notice to improve linked to their financial performance. • will not be in receipt of Adult Skills Fund funding for the 2025-26 academic year; and • directly deliver services. Subcontracting is not allowed. English for speakers of other Languages (ESOL)

To provide face to face education to enable learners to develop their English language skills in all aspects (reading Writing speaking and listening) to a level where they can confidently participate in everyday life. This will include participation in education, and employment within their community by providing accessible and tailored learning pathways that cater for individual needs and goals, while addressing potential barriers to participation. The service will help develop sustainable relationships between service users and members of the wider community by increasing access to, and participation in local English-speaking networks, activities and voluntary organisations, thus fostering a sense of belonging. Deliver ESOL provision to 20 individual learners from across South Tyneside resettlement programmes that include Asylum seekers, refugees, ARAP and Homes for Ukraine and to be delivered in the South Tyneside area.
