Description

This tender is being issued to the market via the Blue Light Portal and advertised on Contracts Finder and Finder a Tender Service. Royal Berkshire Fire Authority is seeking to appoint a new Contractor to provide planned and reactive maintenance for electrical works where this does not form part of a building maintenance project. The Contractor will provide the service across the property portfolio. The new contract must be in place by 1st August 2022.  The final contract will be a JCT 2016 measured term contract.

Generator Connection Point

NLB Oban Base – Generator Connection Point NLB require the facility to manually connect a standby diesel generator to provide temporary power to the NLB Oban base electrical system in the event of a mains failure or a blackout. This will take the form of a generator connection point on the outside wall of the ESTF Building with cabling routed on tray to the Switchboard in the ESTF Switch room. The cabling from the new Generator Connection Point will be connected to an existing spare breaker in Compartment A2 in the LV Switchboard. The existing 400A Breaker in compartment A2 is required to be configured such that the load side feeds the switchboard busbar. This has been discussed with Terasaki and basically entails a rotation of the breaker ‘in situ’ as highlighted in photograph below. This is because the existing breaker protection device is not bi-directional. Site Visit A site visit is planned for Thursday 4 December 2025. This is a mandatory requirement and any supplier not attending the site visit will be excluded from this quotation exercise. Appointment of M&E Services Contractor for HMS Victory Conservation Project

The National Museum of the Royal Navy ("NMRN") is leading a sector leading project to conserve HMS Victory, ensuring the long-term preservation of this world-class historic vessel. The aim of the HMS Victory Conservation Project ("HMS Victory: The Big Repair") is to deliver a fully conserved ship, able to survive in an open environment for the next 50 years without major work beyond a programme of planned maintenance. The NMRN is seeking a conscientious and collaborative M&E contractor to work closely with the project delivery team to enable critical conservation work. The ship contains a variety of electrical and mechanical services which will need to be rerouted or terminated to enable safe access for the conservation team. The contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for an additional 2 years. The decision to extend will be based upon performance against stated key performance indicators. Full details of the tender and the scope of requirements are outlined in the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document. Site visits are strongly recommended. Booking instructions can be found within the ITT. Visits will take place on the 6th, 11th, and 12th of November 2025, and must be booked at least two working days in advance. Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) Inspections & Related Works – 2025

The Council wishes to appoint 1 Contractor for each Lot, submitting the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT), to provide Services & Works, for the Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) Inspections & Related Works for the Highland Council Area (EICRI). The Contract shall be divided into lots by geographical area as follows: Lot 1 Inverness & Nairn Areas [I&N] Lot 2 Skye & Lochalsh and Ross & Cromarty Areas [SL&RC] Lot 3 Caithness & Sutherland Areas [C&S] Lot 4 Lochaber & Badenoch and Strathspey Areas [LB&S] The Contract shall be for a 24-month period, with the option of multiple extensions to be extended by up to 24-months, subject to mutual agreement. The option of multiple extensions may be exercised by the Council giving written notice to the Supplier to that effect, not less than 3-month before the contract would otherwise expire.
