Description

The project is the construction of a grey cement silo import facility at the port of Immingham.The facility will be constructed on the basis of either two or three silos with capacity to accommodate 8-10,000 tonnes per silo. The annual guaranteed minimum volume will be 250,000 tonnes per annum.The target date for construction to commence subject to design and build tender award is February 2023.

Berwyn View Pump Track - Ellesmere

Ellesmere Town Council is looking to install a wheeled sports pump track on their Berwyn View recreation ground. A location plan is enclosed with this opportunity which is marked with the wording "Pump Track Location Plan". Prospective suppliers are invited to submit one or more designs for a pump track to be delivered within the specified budget which should specify the following: • Design and build of a BMX/MTB/Skate Asphalt surfaced pump track of approximately 240m with a riding width of 1.5m. The track is to be located at Berwyn View Recreation Ground which is a public space where an approximate area of 3,821.55m² will be available for delivery of the project. • The track shall cater for all abilities, whilst challenging experienced riders and being safe for beginners as well as use for scooters and skateboards. • The track shall feature jumps, banked turns and pump track features. • Track base will be made up of existing soil onsite, then capped with a geotextile membrane and imported crushed aggregates (20mm scalping/ 40mm MOT type1) or similar and compacted to a minimum depth of 152.4mm. • French drains leading to soakaways complete with poly storm crates shall be installed in wet areas where required. • The track riding width shall be 1.5m for its entirety of the track. • The finished track surface will be covered with a compacted specialist pump-track specific asphalt wearing course. • Once the track is completed the immediate surrounding area shall be landscaped and finished ensuring a safe and debris free fall zone. • All areas that have been affected within the construction process, will be reinstated and either grass seeded or turfed. If possible, please provide costings for both. • Completed ROSPA certification upon completion. Any submission and quotes for works shall include: • Compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) • Health and safety provisions, including Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) documentation. • Tree protection measures to protect the tree root areas, e.g. arboricultural advice, provision of physical barriers. • Project management. • Evidence of third party/public liability insurance with a sum insured of at least £10m. • Employer liability insurance if applicable. • All labour costs and oncosts, including overnight accommodation, welfare provisions etc. • Site security including overnight. • All preparatory works to the site. • Groundworks. • All materials. • Installation of the facility as defined above. • Any reinstatement works. Drainage / Ground Conditions It will be the appointed supplier's responsibility to satisfy themselves that the ground is suitable for installation and drainage Standards All equipment must be built and installed to the following standards: BS EN 14974 BS EN 474-1:2006+A6:2019 BS 3998:2010 Budget The budget for the delivery of the pump track is £60,000 excluding VAT. Construction Period The construction works should start on or as soon as possible after the award of a contract. All associated works including reinstatement of any damaged ground are to be completed within four months of awarding the contract, subject to adequate working conditions/exceptionally inclement weather delays (please refer to note c in the Notes to Tenderers above).
