Description

Aberdeen City Council requires a service to support people who require assistance in maintaining a tenancy. The service will support the proportion of current homeless cases where independent living within the community is not yet possible and for whom accommodation-based support is the preferred housing option.
The service will be provided at two premises within Aberdeen and on a dispersed basis.
-	A supported accommodation service for five people at Bloomfield Road.
-	A supported accommodation service for six people at Brierfield Road.
-	A dispersed housing support service which will include the support of tenants at Aberdeen City Council’s West North Street, and in community based temporary accommodation.

Community-led: Supporting young people directly affected by interpersonal violence

London’s Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) is seeking to commission a Community Partner to collaborate on an important research project aimed at assessing the landscape of tertiary support[1] available to young Londoners impacted by interpersonal violence – both statutory and non-statutory. In recognition of the importance of embedding community voice and lived experiences throughout the research process, the VRU are commissioning both a research partner and a community partner to work in collaboration. This approach ensures the research appropriately and meaningfully reflects the experiences of those it aims to serve and that research findings will be relevant and informed. The procurement of the research partner will take place after the successful procurement of the community partner. We are seeking to commission a community partner who work intensively with a minimum of 15 young people impacted by interpersonal violence providing specialist tertiary support interventions, to support co-design and participate in the research. In close collaboration with the research partner, the role of the community partner will involve: Co-developing the research methodology Convening and engage a cohort of relevant research participants Co-designing research outputs that reflect community needs Provide ongoing advice and guidance to ensure the research remains nuanced and deeply informed by local insights This collaborative commissioning approach demonstrates the VRU’s commitment to partnership, inclusivity, and ensuring research outcomes genuinely inform policy and commissioning decisions. The findings will help to shape more effective, responsive tertiary support services for young people affected by violence across London. We invite organisations with strong community links and ability to engage young people impacted by interpersonal violence to apply. The total contract value is up to £20,000, contract term is 15 months from the contract award date. Short Term Accommodation Services for People with Complex Needs in Preston

The Complex Needs Housing Contract aims to provide opportunities for behaviour change, health improvements and to deliver positive outcomes for individuals with Complex Needs, families and communities. This notice concerns service provision in Preston only. A person with 'complex needs' is someone with two or more needs which typically interact with and exacerbate one another affecting their physical, mental, social or financial wellbeing. An estimated 60,000 people across England experience at least two of the following: homelessness, reoffending, problematic substance misuse and mental ill health. The intended target group require a range of support needs including mental health, substance misuse, a history of offending behaviour, other diagnosed and undiagnosed conditions and/or challenging behaviours. The target population includes many who are often found at the margins of society; who experience repeat homelessness; rough sleeping and those who find it difficult to secure and maintain independent living because of the level of their compounded or complex needs. The Service will be expected to deliver support effectively to individuals who are in crisis, present challenging behaviour issues and who may struggle to live within boundaries and engage in support. Staff will work with residents to help them identify their own strengths and goals, learn new skills, gain knowledge and increase self-awareness. This conditional support enables complex and entrenched behaviours to be addressed, with a view to leading stable independent lives. The success of the Service will be judged by the extent to which it meaningfully engages with service users; The Service will directly address underlying issues and develop personal capacity and recovery capital. As part of their tender submission, it will be the provider's responsibility to source all accommodation and ensure this accommodation meets with minimum and maximum requirements stated.
