Description

In respect of this procurement Dorset Council is acting on behalf of the Southern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (Southern IFCA).
Southern IFCA (the “Authority”) covers the inshore waters of Hampshire, Dorset, and Isle of Wight out to six nautical miles. The organisation works on both land and sea to balance sustainable fisheries with a sustainable environment. Nationally the Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authorities vision is to:
“Lead, champion and manage a sustainable marine environment and inshore fisheries within their District by successfully securing the right balance between social, environmental and economic benefits to ensure healthy seas, sustainable fisheries and a viable industry”.
The Authority has a fleet of vessels that are used to carry out control and enforcement activities afloat including boarding operations, throughout the inshore waters surrounding Dorset, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight.
The Authority is seeking tenders for the build of a new Patrol Vessel (the “Vessel”) that is to replace ‘Stella Barbara’ an existing patrol vessel in its fleet. The Vessel is required to be capable of carrying out compliance, principally within 6 nautical miles of the Dorset, Hampshire, and Isle of Wight coastlines. The Vessel to have the ability to conduct extended patrols out to 12 nautical miles and will be required to be operational both day and night all year round.

HMC Valiant MCA Intermediate Docking including out of water inspection

Border Force (BF) operate a fleet of circa thirty (30) surface vessels including five (5) Cutters. One of these Cutters, HMC Valiant (4207 Class), has a requirement for a period of Planned Maintenance and Out of Water Interim MCA Load Line Survey and Outer Bottom Inspection. Bidders are required to submit their quotes utilising the Bidding Tool ( HMC Valiant - Intermediate Docking - Bidding Tool - v1.0). The purpose of this notice is to make the SoR and BT available to, and invite, potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised bid for the complete and specified work package. Therefore, the following timeline for this contract only is as follows; 1. 1200hrs, 22 February 2025 - deadline for clarification submission to the Buyer. 2. 1700hrs, 28 February 2025 - deadline for submission of bidding tool and specified documents and acceptances. 3. w/c 3rd March 2025 - evaluation/moderation. 4. (On or around) 17 March 2025 - contract award. 5. 14 April 2025 - Contract Start; and 6. 16 May 2025 - Contract End. The Buyer reserves the right to change or withdraw this opportunity, for any reason, at any point, prior to contract award.
