Description

CITB offers throughout the UK the essential construction Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) tests for Operatives, Managers and Professionals, and Specialists. This is achieved via managed, secure and invigilated computer-based testing locations. In addition, CITB has a portfolio of eLearning courses that require an end of course test. This is achieved via managed computer-based tests via online proctor or in a secure and invigilated facility. CITB require managed and secure facilities (test centres) to enable candidates to attend and undertake these tests, with the capability for online proctoring, and for a computer-based testing platform to be made available for delivery by CITB approved independent Internet Test Centres.

The East of England Service NHS Trust ("the Authority") covers the six counties which make up the East of England - Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and provides a range of services, but is best known for the 999-emergency service. About IELTS: IELTS is a high stakes English Language test which is accepted by more than 12000 organisations worldwide. IELTS is trusted because of its reliable content and secure delivery. Tests are subject to clear rules and requirements around the quality of the test environment, the security of the test and the actions of test day staff. The test consists of a 3-hour written test taken on computer and a 15-minute speaking exam, delivered via the internet. Tests usually start at 9am or 1pm and can be scheduled for any day of the week, although some days, especially Saturdays are more popular. What is a PTP: As a Partner Testing Point, you would be responsible for delivering scheduled IELTS tests at times and on dates agreed with British Council. To do this, you will need to supply: o a computer testing room, o at least one room set up for online speaking tests, o secure storage for test materials and candidate belongings. o a waiting area, o appropriate staff to manage the test preparation and delivery. These staff will need to pass training and monitoring standards set by British Council IELTS. British Council manages test scheduling, candidate registration, payment, and certification.
