Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Distance Travelled. This is an adult project engaging with the Travelling Community around Strabane as well the wider district and cross-border into the Lifford / Donegal / Inishowen areas. The programming will include cultural diversity, social issues and understanding/peer learning about diverse groups and identities. The concept arose from the co-design process across the district, but particularly in the Strabane area and is one of the key projects engaging with the Travelling Community. The target engagement (in 2 cross-community cohorts) will be with 20 Travellers, 20 people from other BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) identities, 20 people from Catholic / Nationalist / Republican (CNR) identities and 20 from Protestant / Unionist / Loyalist (PUL) identities. Delivery will use a range of venues, building confidence for all participants in accessing diverse spaces and places. This project is under the Celebrating Cultures and Diversity Theme. Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Ballyarnett Women's Programme. Derry City and Strabane District Council are seeking an organisation to co-ordinate and deliver a cross-community women's leadership programme examining exploring cultural traditions and beliefs. Building women’s groups to engage in intergenerational and cross community activities and initiatives. Will cater for diverse ability levels and in particular young women who are at the beginning of their peace building journey. Includes 1 study visit. 2. Learning Together Programme: Good Relations/Cultural Diversity. Facilitates participants to explore each other cultures through workshops, relevant visits and 1 day trip. Cultivates mutual understanding, challenging perceptions/prejudice, forms friendships, trust and opens respectful and informed dialogue. 3. Learning Together Programme: Health and Wellbeing. Facilitates participants to explore each other’s cultures through workshops, relevant visits and 1 day trip. Cultivates mutual understanding, awareness of relevant health and wellbeing issues and skills, forms friendships, trust and opens respectful and informed dialogue. Arising from the Co-design process in a Ballyarnett District Electoral Area (DEA), this project should strive to bring key benefit to that area. T24-201BUS PEACEPLUS Arts and Collaborative Resilience Reissue

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Arts and Collaborative Resilience. Derry City and Strabane District Council are seeking an organisation to co-ordinate and deliver this project which is a strategic level arts project within Derry City and Strabane District Council’s (DCSDC’s) PEACEPLUS Action Plan. The project aims to increase collaborative and strategic working within the core community arts and culture sector. It links strongly to the DCSDC Arts and Cultural Strategy (Sectoral Investment Plan 2021) and will require regular engagement with the Arts and Culture Manager, John Kerr to ensure a co-ordinated approach with council’s services in this area and to maximise the benefit and legacy of the project. Working with the DCSDC Arts Service, the successful tenderer will bring together a target of 26+ Arts and Cultural Sector organisations from within the council area. It will develop 2 areas of cross-community collaboration to leverage economies of scale for the participating organisations, enhancing collective sustainability. Arising from the Co-design process across the entire district, this project should strive to bring key benefit across the geography of the council area. Cross-border engagement into Donegal is also welcome where relevant, as many of the audiences for arts and cultural activity area cross-border.
